In addition to teaching, she aims to be a lifelong learner herself by completing continuing education courses regularly.
Dr. Davis is also an active member of many dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society (CDS). She serves on the board of her local CDS branch, the CDS Membership Committee, and is a New Dentist Representative for the CDS.
Throughout her personal life, education and career, community service has remained very important to Dr. Davis. Her volunteer work includes non-dental efforts such as hurricane relief, literacy efforts in underserved elementary schools, tutoring and teaching English in Spanish speaking communities. Since she began working in the dental field 11 years ago, she has directed her attention to dental volunteer projects, including oral health education at community events and elementary schools, regularly providing dental care at the CDS Foundation Clinic and other events, as well as dental mission trips to Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Dr. Davis believes in listening to her patients’ needs and providing the highest quality of dental care in a comfortable environment. She loves delivering beautiful cosmetic results, relieving any dental pain, and creating confident healthy smiles for her patients! She believes education is vital to a maintaining oral health, and is happy to answer any dental questions you may have. She especially loves working with children in hopes that they have a great dental experience, look forward to their next visit, and never develop the unfortunate fear of dentists that so many adults struggle with. While she doesn’t love hearing “I hate the dentist” at a patient’s first visit, she knows it is a common reality and takes pride in changing that sentiment by developing a trusting relationship with her patients.
When she is not doing something dental related, Dr. Davis spends her time with her husband, family and friends. She loves to travel, learn about other cultures, brush up on her Spanish, and try different types of food. She is always open to suggestions for a new destination or restaurant to visit!
